Whoot ~  what great games we had last week and support from parents!  Here goes this week:

9/30 Mon, MAC Pool 7:00 - 9:00pm  no dryland (be in water at 7:15 pm)

10/1 Tues, MAC Pool 5:30 am - 6:30 am followed by Chalk Talk ~ BOYS ONLY JV and Varsity

10/2 Wed,  HOME GAME  @ MAC Pool 6:45 pm - 9: 30 pm against Aloha  (league game)

The girls game table is covered however the boys table only has one parent signed up so far.  Also we need help with setup and breakdown:)

This week in LHS Water Polo 9/22-9/29 ~ lots of games!!!!

Hello Parents and Athletes,

This week is the busiest week of the season ~ lots of games.  Here you go day by day:

Sun 9/22 ~ Ladies JV/Varsity practice MAC 6:30 -8:00pm

Mon 9/23 ~ All Teams MAC practice 6:00-9:00pm as usual ~ dryland then MAC Pool Time (no practice Tues am, Wed pm, Thurs am, Fri pm or Sun pm)

Tues 9/24 ~ Beaverton vs LHS at Sunset Pool ~  3:30 JV Boys only  ~ No JV girls, 4:00VG, 5:00VB  ~ JV boys leave LHS at 2:45pm

Wed 9/25 ~ Newburg vs Lincoln at Chehalem Aquatic Center ~ 5:30JVB, 6:30 VG, 7:30 VB ~ JV boys arrive by 5:00 ~ plan for traffic. NO JV Girls

Thurs 9/26 ~  Sunset VS LHS ~ 3:30 JV Girls only ~ No JV Boys, 4:00VG, 5:00VB  ~ JV girls ~ leave LHS at 2:45pm

Fri 9/27 - Sat 9/28

Still determining if ladies will have practice Fri/Sun! 

THills Boys Tourney Fri - Sun. First game Fri 3:45 pm (be there by 3:00)  Parents please sign up to volunteer.  We need all hands on deck for this large tournament at the Tualatin Aquatic Center.

ATHLETES/PARENTS ~  PLEASE READ MAC ETIQUETTE

1. Athletes bring your own towels.

2. No garbage/ left at the pool deck or in the stands during games.  Parents please sweep the area for trash/recycling after Home  Games.  

3. Quiet and respectful at the MAC.

4. Athletes MUST be out of the MAC by 8 am on weekdays.

5. Always bring your ID.

Please do not jeopardize our relationship with the MAC.  It's the only pool we have!!!!!  So far we have stellar reveiws ~ keep up the great work!!!

Additional Game and Practice added to Version 4 of Season Schedule

Parents and Athletes,

Here are additions to the schedule

1. Following the Southridge game on Sunday 9/15  ~ Varsity Roster WILL (again if you swing between JV and Varsity you will be practicing)  have  practice after the game 6:30 - 8:00 pm at the MAC.  JV help cleanup ~ Varsity bring a snack to refuel!

2. NEXT WEEK Tues/Thurs (9/17 and 9/19) next week ~ ALL ROSTERS ~ WILL have 5:30 - 6:30 am water practice (MAC) and 6:30 -7:30 am chalk talk.  As well as the  Mon/Wed/Fri  EVE practices.

3. Kroc Center ~ Oct 6th ~ additional game ( I will let you know about eve practice at MAC if it is cancelled)

2013 Coaches Corner #2

The 2013 season is officially under way!  It's been an exciting start so far with a couple of close games for everyone.  Proud of each team for showing serious fortitude in mounting come backs to pull out wins.  Glad to start the season undefeated at all levels!  
I wanted to pass along some advice of value to all players, regardless of the level they are currently playing.  Make the most of every opportunity that you are given to experience and grow in the game of water polo.  This means that every time you are in the water at practice, every time you are playing in a game or sitting on the bench watching, every time you are watching another team play, every time you hear the coaches correct and speak, observe and learn from what you see and hear.  One of the greatest ways that you can learn and grow in the sport is to watch and listen.  We have talked a lot already that details matter.  Observe, process, and then implement.  Pay attention at all times.  Those who pay attention and can execute what we are trying to accomplish as a team, will help the team to be successful.  If you have questions, ask.

Every day, make it your goal to get better.  Every time you get better at one thing, it not only helps you improve, but you help the TEAM.  Every time you enter the water, your goal is to be better than the last time you entered the pool.  Small steps forward pave the way for greater future successes.  Let's improve and get better together!

I WILL NOT BE AT THE MAC UNTIL 5:30.  

JIM NEEDS HELP  BRINGING THE EQUIP TO THE MAC AND SETTING UP/BREAKING DOWN.

IF WE DON'T HAVE SIGNUPS THEN WE FORFEIT OUR GAMES.

9/3-9/8 Updated schedule too

Athlete and Parents,

Well here we go. This is just a look at this week.  I will send out emails every sunday for a look/update for the  week ahead.  I received several emails with many important questions.  I hope that the following will answer questions.

1. I have updated to Version 2.0 of the Season Schedule.  Again, there may be updates or game times may change around ~ so please be flexible.

2. I have updated the google calendar.  If you see something that is not resonating with the Season Schedule please let me know.

3. Please note the practice schedule on the google calendar.  Dryland at 6 pm starting on 9/9. NO AM dryland anymore.  We will let you know if there is a 5:30 am 50  meter practice ~ nothing on the calendar yet.

4. Athletes you have practice at PSU Wed 9/4 and Fri 9/6 rom 4-6.  

CAPTAINS PLEASE MEET ALL TEAMS AT THE RED STEPS AND WALK TO PSU TOGETHER ~ MEET 3:30 AND WALK BY 3:35!  NO ATHLETE LEFT BEHIND.  DO NOT BE LATE TO PSU. POOL TIME IS FROM 4-6.  BE SUITED AND IN WATER BY 4:00.

5. We have a game at Parkrose THURS, 9/5.  JV girls, Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys.  All team need to be in attendance. The JV Girls game begins at 4:15.  It's a drive please be there by 4:00 for warmup.  No stress!!!!!

6. We will be in Salem on 9/8.  All teams arrive at KROC Center by 1:30 ~ suit up quickly.  No practice Sunday nite.

8. For the Sept 15th Game please volunteer to work the table.  I will not be there and Jim will not be able to work the table. We will also need
